Mezo Earn — Gauge Voting

Designing a voting system that lets Bitcoin holders direct protocol revenue without requiring DeFi expertise.

The Problem

Ve-tokenomics is powerful but hostile to newcomers. Most BTC holders entering Mezo have never interacted with gauges, epochs, or vote-weight allocation. A voter who doesn't understand what they're allocating — or who skips an epoch — forfeits all active rewards.

The Goal

Make vote allocation feel as intuitive as setting a budget. Progressive disclosure to hide protocol complexity. Visible consequences before every transaction. Recoverability — votes reset each epoch, reducing the anxiety of "getting it wrong."

Outcomes
50 BTC
Locked in Prime Access within the launch window
40%+
Initial APR for early depositors actively voting
7-day
Epoch cycle with weekly vote resets and fee claims
Design Approach
From protocol mechanics to user mental models
Progressive disclosure
Surface only what users need at each step — hide protocol complexity behind clear actions
Visible consequences
Before any transaction is signed, show exactly what will happen — estimated rewards, allocation breakdown, epoch deadline
Recoverability
Votes reset every epoch and can be changed — reducing the anxiety of "getting it wrong" for first-time voters
Single coherent flow
Collapsed gauge table, vote allocation, and confirmation into one continuous experience — no multi-page wizards
